‘On The Table’

An exhibition of mixed media paintings and collages by Angela Cookney with a focus on her still life work . Original artworks, prints and cards will be for sale.

Angela lives in Ely and has painted in oils, watercolours and acrylics for many years but recently has worked mostly in acrylics, introducing hand painted collage and printing into her work.

Angela is fascinated by colour, bold shapes, line and pattern and experiments with these to produce interesting still life and interiors art works.

Inspired by her home surroundings, most of her recent still life work is a blend of realism and stylisation which comes from her imagination.

Angela has exhibited regularly at the Babylon Gallery, Ely and also twice a year in central Cambridge with the Cambridge Drawing Society, as well as other local exhibitions. Her work has been purchased by collectors both in the UK and abroad.

Angela is a selected member of Cambridge Drawing Society,. She takes part in Cambridge Open Studios during July and was Outstanding Artist winner at the most recent Cambridge Open Arts Exhibition in 2023.
