Join me for a day learning how to use the COILING method to create interesting vessels in the morning, and then make TWO LARGE BOTANICAL VASES using the slab & sprig method in the afternoon.

Use the coiling method to create beautiful, interesting vessels/art in the morning, then after lunch
Enjoy experimenting with the slab method to create two large botanical vases.
These can be simpledesigns or more elaborate using “sprigs” as 3D elements. Your second vase can be any design of your choosing, so you don’t have to stick to botanicals.
The whole procedure will be explained from start to finish by me and also with the aid of real-time footage on a large screen showing each step up close. At the end of the session, you will have created one or several coiled pieces and 2 large botanical vases. You will complete a glazing/colour sheet so I can apply the glazes to your work once it has been biscuit fired.
Once your pieces have been biscuit fired, glazed and then high fired, I’ll return them to Haddenham Arts Centre for collection.
The workshop is taking place at Haddenham Arts Centre which has its own café where you can have lunch - workshop participants are entitled to a 10% discount - do pre-order when you arrive and let the staff know you are a student - or you are of course welcome to bring your own packed lunch or use facilities in the village.
