Description

Combine mono-print and lino block printing techniques to create your own bespoke fabric bag. You will learn how to mono-print simple designs onto fabric to create backgrounds, and then design, and make simple linocut printing blocks. Using these you can get creative with different patterns, repeats, layers, and arrangements, as formal or as abstract as you wish. By the end of the day, you will have created a range of samples and your own personal tote bag. The printing inks we use are colourfast and washable.

What's included in the price?

All materials and equipment, and a cotton tote bag will be provided. If you have a particular theme or images you would like to work from please bring them along – your own drawings, photographs or magazine cuttings are all good source materials, but don’t worry if you haven’t got anything, there will be imagery to choose from. - Please wear clothes that you don’t mind getting messy and/or an apron.

All workshop participants are offered a 10% discount in Haddenham Arts Centre cafe on the day of the workshop.
