Create your own sterling silver ring! Learn about the lost wax casting process, then design and make a wax ring ready for casting. Not suitable for young children.

In a small group of no more than 6 people we will be making our very own solid silver rings using the lost wax casting technique. Lost wax is a process starting with crafting the ring out of wax, a mould is made around the wax, and then molten silver is poured into the mould which burns away the wax and leaves a perfect cast in silver.

In the workshop we will be creating our rings out of wax, which is a wonderful and adaptable material to work with, even beginners will find it easy to work with, and the detail is remarkable.

The wax rings will then be taken offsite for casting, Nathan will finish and polish your silver ring and post back to you.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to recent jumps in silver grain stocks, the ticket price will no longer include the casting cost - this will be calculated according to the ring weight once it has been cast, and you will be invoiced accordingly. As of my most recent cast in mid January 2026, the average ring weighing up to 10g is approximately £50.

T & C’s: You will be advised on your design and its weight value at the workshop.

Full refunds are available (minus service fees) up to 48hours before the workshop is due to start. Partial refund will be offered after this time.

You are entitled to move your booking to any other booking date at any time before the workshop start. Please be respectful and notify the host as soon as possible of you are unable to attend.

What to bring: You should have a couple of ideas and images of the type of ring you would like to make, if you use reading glasses you should bring those too.
