Learn how to create a beautiful needle felted landscape. You will begin by making a small practice piece to learn a number of different felting techniques, before going on to create your landscapes. You will have time to create up to two pieces.
You are welcome to bring images to work from but there will be plenty available to take inspiration from.
Annie is an accomplished needle felt artist with a background in fine art and is a resident artist at the Arts Centre . She creates with wool from her own flock of rare breed sheep, using both its natural colour but also hand dying to achieve the exact shades she likes to use in her work. All materials will be provided and you will have some of this ‘home grown’ wool available to work with. Annie will also be happy to talk about the stages the fleece goes through to prepare it for felting.
Suitable for begineers and for children aged 10 and above when accompanied by an adult.
Price for this half day workshop is £45 p/p.
