A full day of Friday pottery fun at Haddenham Arts Centre!
Pottery Masterclasses are designed to help you tackle more complicated ceramics techniques. Longer sessions mean we can make use of drying time and work on bigger, more detailed pieces.
In this class we'll be designing and building a sculpture - using the human body and how it moves as our inspiration. We’ll bring some example sculptures and drawings for you to work from, but we encourage you to find your own inspiration too.
All abilities are welcome - from complete beginner to experienced potters.
Tutors: Naomi and Georgie from Ely Clay Collective will be on hand for 1:1 support throughout the day, to help you start your sculpting journey, or take the next step on it.
All tools and materials are provided, and firing of your work is included.
Schedule for the day:
10:30am-1pm: Design and building the initial shape of your sculpture
1pm-2pm: Lunch and clay drying time
2pm-5pm: Refining and finishing your sculpture
After 5pm: Optional pizza and social
Food:
Tea and Biscuits will be provided.
Lunch can be purchased as part of your ticket, there will be vegetarian and gluten free options and you’ll order your lunch from the cafe on arrival. Alternatively you can make your own lunch arrangements. During the summer Haddenham Arts Centre runs a pizza night, if you wish to join for that you can include Pizza in your booking (it comes with 4 toppings of your choice!). Georgie & Naomi will be staying for pizza so join us to round off the day and have a natter.
