Young Artist Workshop - Tuesday 12 August
Educational & Creative Full Day Summer Holiday Workshop for Ages 9-12 (School Years 5-8)

Programme: Taking inspiration from the exhibitions in the gallery, resident artist studios or the environment of the Arts centre, children will be given the opportunity to engage in a planned range of creative and artistic activities. The sessions will provide the chance to work with a variety of materials and techniques which may include drawing, painting, printing, textiles, ceramics and more. Children will work at their own pace while supported by experienced tutors.
Tutors: Our sessions are planned and taught by practising artists and tutors. Lead tutor Liz Topping is an experienced and qualified Art teacher with over 25 years’ experience across primary, secondary and adult education. She has a Ceramics degree. Liz has worked in various local schools and has a passion for Art.
Time: 10am – 4pm.
Price: £60 per student All materials and equipment are included.
Before and after Supervision: Option to pre-book early drop off at 9am and/or late stay until 5pm. Note: this will be a supervised stay but activities will only run between 10-4pm. Drawing and colouring resources will be available for children to use.
Additional price per hour per student: £5
Catering: Lunch packs available to purchase as a pre-order (gluton and lactose free options avalable) from the Art Centre Tea Room (details and menu options to be sent nearer the day) or bring a packed lunch. Water will be available. Ice creams, cakes and drinks available to purchase at the Tea Room
