Learn to make festive traditional German straw stars or ‘Strohsterne’

During this workshop, Daniela will teach you how to make these beautiful natural straw stars using natural materials. They are traditional German (and other European countries) Christmas decoration. Perfect for hanging on your Christmas tree or in the window. They also make lovely little handmade gifts.

You will make a simple version of the straw stars, for which no tools are required. Different designs will be achieved by using different lengths of straw and I will provide the straw and some threads. Please bring a pair of sharp scissors - and if you want - and coloured thread to tie the straw.
